Odaseva accelerates drive in UK & APAC

Key Takeaways

Odaseva has expanded its global presence by opening a new UK headquarters in London and establishing a datacenter in India, supporting Salesforce's Hyperforce infrastructure.

The company is enhancing its security offerings with new features such as 'Bring Your Own Storage' (BYOS), allowing customers greater control over their backup data.

Odaseva has experienced significant growth in 2022, adding over 300,000 new Salesforce users and now protecting 14 petabytes of data globally, reflecting the rising demand for data management solutions.

Pushing its data-centric technology proposition one louder this month is Odaseva, a company that works specifically to deliver an enterprise data platform service for Salesforce.

The company is making 2022 a landmark year for growth, highlighted by global expansion, new hires, new product offerings and significant data and user milestones.

Odaseva (pronounced oh-da say-vah) has now announced its newly opened UK headquarters in London, making it the company’s fourth global hub alongside San Francisco, Paris and Sydney.

The company is also hanging out the garlands to celebrate its new datacenter in India, supporting Salesforce’s rollout of Hyperforce in what is the world’s sixth-largest economy.

NOTE: Hyperforce is a Salesforce infrastructure architecture that unifies the foundations of different cloud services and allows Salesforce to scale rapidly and securely using public cloud partners. Leveraging different public cloud partners is said to allow Salesforce users to expand quickly and meet local data storage requirements.

“Odaseva is the first provider to offer services co-located to Hyperforce. Odaseva is not only compatible with Hyperforce but customers can decide on the datacenter where they want to run the Odaseva platform. Now, Odaseva is extending to offer the same service for every Hyperforce region,” noted the company, in a press statement.

New security products

Odaseva claims to be the most secure backup provider with ‘no view provider’ capabilities, but Odaseva is going further and now offering a Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) function, which will enable customers to host their own backup data and have even better control of their data.

“Our global growth is underscored by market demand as organizations manage their data as it now represents the ‘fifth fuel’, in locations around the world,” says Eleanor Treharne-Jones, chief revenue officer at Odaseva. “Most enterprises are moving towards becoming sales-led, as the need for seamless customer service is greater than ever. We are meeting rising demand for our solutions which can keep data close to the customer across geographies, while also keeping the enterprise in line with local data regulations.”

Since the beginning of 2022, Odaseva says it has added more than 300,000 new Salesforce users, for a total of 93 million users and is now protecting 14 petabytes of data globally.

As the marketplace for data technologies continues to proliferate, germinate and liberate – and very occasionally defenestrate and terminate – we are seeing major trends lay down centered around making scalability happen fluidly in line with securely and robust control technologies, all now fuelled by an increasing degree of automation and autonomous management to ensure compliance. This is where Odaserva operates, it’s a space to keep a close watch on.
