de Novo Solutions and Embridge Consulting have been awarded a large local government contract by Kent County Council, the public body has confirmed.
Kent County Council, England’s largest local authority by population, told ERP Today that its Enterprise Business Capabilities (EBC) project has undertaken a full procurement process over the last 18 months.
“Having considered all options, the EBC board approved the replacement of the council’s core business system with an Oracle Cloud solution, and appointed implementation partner de Novo,” a council spokesperson exclusively tells ERP Today, adding Embridge is supporting the program from a business change perspective.
de Novo and Embridge will work in partnership with Kent County Council’s program team to deliver the EBC Program, enabling the council to implement Oracle Cloud and take advantage of the opportunities it presents.
“The EBC Program will modernize the way the core capabilities work and perform across finance, people and procurement, and is expected to support the authority for at least the next decade,” according to the council.
The announcement comes days after de Novo Solutions and the Gravesham, Kent-based Embridge Consulting announced they are teaming up in a strategic partnership with the aim of driving transformation for local government.
With local governments across the country experiencing some unsuccessful digital transformation projects over the past decade, the duo said they recognized the paramount importance of equipping clients for seamless business transformation and were determined to “revitalize the marketplace”.
In joining forces, de Novo Solutions will be providing organizational change management as part of its service offering as it recognizes the vital role it can play in facilitating successful cloud deployments, while delivering value for tech investment.
Emma O’Brien, founder and CEO of Embridge Consulting, recently said regarding their strategic partnership that “operating as a united force, the de Novo-Embridge partnership represents a significant milestone in the mission of both companies to empower public services organizations with the capabilities and expertise required to excel in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.
“The cultural alignment across both of our teams is a perfect match. Change in this space is long overdue, and this partnership offers organizations a much-needed alternative.”
