Deloitte has announced a new sustainability initiative with Google Cloud to help clients mitigate climate risks, adopt green solutions and unlock the value of low-carbon products and services utilizing revolutionary technologies like generative AI and geospatial data.
Deloitte has also been recognized as the first global systems integrator with the Google Cloud Ready (GCR) Sustainability designation, a program that validates Google Cloud aligned organizations with business-ready technology to help customers achieve their sustainability goals. As part of the program, Deloitte is harnessing the power of its industry and domain knowledge combined with Google Cloud’s technology and platforms, to help organizations transition to a sustainable future.
Deloitte’s Electrified Fleet solution, one of many offerings soon to be available on Google Cloud, will help companies with the end-to-end electrification of their vehicular fleets. Joint customers can utilize an interactive dashboard which easily maps out entire electrification journeys.
Both companies are leveraging Google Earth Engine and their ecosystem relationships to support financial services companies around the world in using geospatial analytics to improve visibility and access insights to climate risks across lending and investment portfolios.
Moving forward, the sustainability initiative will help clients tackle major challenges. These include transitioning to zero emission energy sources, tapping into sustainable capital markets, scaling sustainable products and services, accelerating regenerative agriculture, decarbonizing digital business models and building sustainable and equitable communities.
Jamie Sawchuk, partner and global sustainability leader for the Alphabet Google alliance, Deloitte Canada, said: “We are excited to be working with Google to take purposeful action to help mitigate climate risks, unlock the value of sustainable products and services, build green communities and green jobs and accelerate our progress toward a global net-zero future.”

IPG Mediabrands will develop two pilot platforms, Branded Content Generation (BrandVoice AI) and Audience and Research Insights (BrandPortrait AI).
In addition to this, Google Cloud has also announced that The Knot Worldwide, a wedding planning company, has rolled out Duet AI in Google Workspace as part of a trusted tester program that gives employees early access to test and share feedback on Duet AI in Google Workspace.
Speaking of the new partnership, Eileen Kiernan, global CEO, IPG Mediabrands, said: “We are excited to partner with Google Cloud to develop this new platform.
“Not only does this partnership let us leverage market leading technology, but also we are aligned to Google’s responsible approach on data governance which ensures our clients’ information is well protected. We know that the potential of this technology is just scratching the surface, but we believe that by placing brands at the center of AI solutions, we get to a place where the true potential can be unlocked for brands and the industry overall.”
