Avvale guides Corvias Group through its SAP S/4HANA journey

Avvale S/4HANA

Key Takeaways

Avvale successfully guided Corvias Group LLC in selecting and implementing SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP, streamlining their complex IT processes across various business units.

The implementation of SAP technologies allowed for automated purchasing and accounting, significantly reducing manual processes and enabling teams to focus on higher-value tasks.

Corvias Group now has enhanced visibility into its cost structure and improved data security, with the flexibility of SAP BTP supporting their growth and simplification of processes.

Avvale, a global digital business transformation company on a mission to evolve modern business through the circular economy, enabled by technology, has successfully guided Corvias Group LLC through its SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP software selection and implementation.

Overseeing projects for the military, higher education institutions and state and local governments in the United States, each business unit at Corvias had its own accounting and purchasing systems – resulting in a complex IT landscape. As the company grew, it wanted greater simplicity, efficiency and scalability and therefore needed to streamline its processes.

Avvale helped Corvias choose the private edition of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) to centralize its data. This has enabled automated and integrated purchasing and accounting capabilities. The group is also using SAP Fiori apps to develop customized applications for allocating costs across segments.

In purchase order management, the accounts payable team has reduced manual processes, allowing teams to redirect efforts to higher-value work, such as researching vendor pricing to boost savings. Corvias harmonized data security roles organization-wide and SAP BTP enabled its new or acquired companies to integrate smoothly and swiftly.

David Screnar, Chief Financial Officer at Corvias Group LLC, said: “With SAP BTP, we have visibility into the full cost stack across allocations, vendors and the general ledger. When we’re making decisions and trying to understanding where we want to spend money, we know how much is fixed cost versus primarily direct or segment costs.”

“With SAP BTP, setting up our solar business was very straightforward. As we grow, having
flexibility where the platform grows with us is a huge advantage. Our main goal is process
simplification, and we feel we’re achieving this.”
