Cheshire Constabulary chooses Unit4

Police

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire has selected Unit4’s ERP, FP&A and HCM solutions to deliver an integrated information infrastructure supporting Cheshire’s police force.

Cheshire Constabulary is a UK territorial police force, responsible for policing an area of 946 square miles with 2,199 police officers, 204 PCSOs, 201 special constables and 1611 staff.

Currently on an Oracle Cloud platform managed via the multi-force shared services, Cheshire Constabulary has decided to bring its core back-office solutions in-house.

With Unit4’s integrated suite of ERP software solutions, Cheshire Constabulary will benefit from visibility and control over finances, projects, procurement, reporting, forecasting and payroll.

Cheshire Constabulary builds on Unit4’s client base in the emergency services and public sector, which includes police forces, local and regional government and the ambulance service.

Julie Gill, assistant chief officer at Cheshire Constabulary said: “Our vision is for even safer communities for the whole of Cheshire. Selecting Unit4 will enable us to redirect frontline services and give us the data and support services we need to enable our officers and staff to be their most effective. Achieving this will ensure that it does not distract but supports their primary role of real neighbourhood policing.”

Chris Richards, Unit4 regional president, UK&I, said: “Freeing up time for operational policing, supporting self-service, including mobile working, meeting all the necessary security requirements, and enabling the capability of reporting data in an easy and usable manner, is key. We are proud to be partnering with Cheshire Constabulary, supporting it to achieve its overarching vision for a police force fit for the future so their people can continue to make a difference in the community.”
