Unit4 and Embridge Consulting have announced a new project with international humanitarian organization Concern Worldwide to deliver an ERP solution.

Concern Worldwide’s work is focused on reducing the suffering of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest regions as it operates with 4,500 staff and volunteers in 26 countries.

After growing substantially in recent years, the organization wanted to upgrade its finance and aid distribution management systems by automating and moving it to the cloud.

With some complexities of international branches throughout the world presenting issues with training, support and connectivity, Concern enlisted Embridge Consulting and Unit4 based on their track record in supporting large-scale projects in the non-profit sector, including extensive work with Islamic Relief.

The joint project will implement Unit4 ERP to streamline finance, procurement and warehousing, helping Concern Worldwide to continue its humanitarian work. The teams also intend to improve the organization’s operations over time, through collaboration, comprehensive training and support.

Jonny Bryan, VP of global partners at Unit4, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Embridge Consulting to help Concern Worldwide navigate often complex and multi-layered projects and programs and, at the same time, deliver efficiencies. Together, we will make it easier for Concern Worldwide to optimize resources across the globe without data conflict or inaccuracies.

“Having undergone significant expansion, Concern Worldwide needed a technology solution to help drive further operational efficiencies, improve reporting and drive insight for better, timely informed decision-making,” Steve Haines, chief commercial officer of Embridge Consulting, said.

“Our proven track record of delivering similar large-scale, complex projects, working collaboratively with Unit4, means we can provide the right combination of technology, best practice guidance, training and ongoing support to this program. In doing so, we can help Concern Worldwide operate more effectively, distributing aid where it’s most needed and managing donor funds appropriately.”

Last year, Unit4 shared research at the NetHope Global Summit 2023, indicating that non-profit organizations across the US and UK are making significant strides in digital transformation, with 86 percent looking to complete their transformation to full cloud-based ERP applications within the following two years.

Embridge Consulting, along with de Novo Solutions, was recently awarded a large local government contract by Kent County Council, as confirmed by the public body in November 2023.

As part of the agreement, the duo is partnering to deliver the Enterprise Business Capabilities (EBC) project, enabling the council to implement Oracle Cloud and take advantage of the opportunities it presents.
