Unit4’s complete enterprise cloud suite has been selected by higher education provider, GBS, to optimise the flow of information and enable staff to spend more time focused on delivering high quality education and student services.
The suite will include ERPx, Unit4’s next-generation intelligent ERP solution designed specifically for mid-market organisations, to help support GBS’ growth and deliver automation and control across the entire student lifecycle.
GBS works in partnership with several leading UK universities to provide a range of industry-focused vocational, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes. With major expansion plans on the horizon, including the expectation that GBS’ current team will grow from 200 to over 750, the existing systems in place covering student management, finance, HCM and budgeting, are unable to scale and flex to support this growth.
GBS needed a new digital platform with industry-native functionality and the ability to reflect changes quickly and effectively to future proof the school while catering for the large increase in students.
Professor Ray Lloyd, chief executive officer at GBS, said: “Our major expansion plans require an all-encompassing cloud solution that is fit for purpose which can flex as we grow. We selected Unit4 as a strategic partner with leading-edge, innovative technology solutions to help us transform how we work, freeing up time to focus on delivering high-quality education and student services.”
Chris Richards, regional president UKI at Unit4, added: “Education is a right for all who seek to learn a new skill or specialist trade, and now more than ever it is important that institutions have the tools they need for student success. With a purpose-built higher education solution, Unit4 is the ideal partner to help GBS transform and modernise its operations, add strength and agility to its planning processes and help it to grow and be successful.”
