RFgen Software has announced that it partnered with The Gill Corporation to support the company’s requirements with RFgen Mobile Edge for SAP.

RFgen Mobile Edge provides a mobile barcoding solution with certified SAP integrated and in-house customization, enabling the company to digitize paper processes, configure software to unique, complex business processes, complete a rapid but smooth implementation and develop and manage the solution internally.

The Gill Corporation was using manual paper-based processes for inventory handling, which meant information was written on a piece of paper and then taken to a workstation to be hand-keyed into the SAP system.

RFgen said, as a result of its previous system, the organization struggled with inefficiencies and workflow issues, data gaps in the digital records and discrepancies between what the production and finance teams were seeing.

Together, the companies ensured a fast and efficient implementation that included benefits like 100% paperless processes, up-to-date real-time data, ease of use for frontline staff, solution transparency and configurability and complete in-house ownership.

The built-in RFgen Mobile Development Studio also provides internal IT personnel to easily configure, make and maintain mobile apps, the company says.

In addition, the Mobile Development Studio has enabled The Gill Corporation team to customize nearly every app to fit the company’s specific needs, several of which are complex.

Vaibhav Dua, vice president of IT and information security, The Gill Corporation, said: “A fast deployment was our top priority. We didn’t want to spend two years implementing it. The RFgen team’s commitment and understanding of our needs were crucial. Every time we needed their help, they were there for us and they understood the urgency.

“The RFgen team provided great support and helped make the process a huge success. This gave us confidence that it wasn’t just a short-term solution and that we could build or expand upon it in the future.”
