Accenture has appointed Matt Prebble as the new lead for its UK, Ireland and Africa operations, effective October 1st. Prebble, who previously served as the company’s Europe AI Chief, succeeds Shaheen Sayed, who has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer of Accenture’s Reinvention Services global practice.
Prebble will be responsible for steering growth, strategy, and overall performance across these markets while joining Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
Prebble brings more than 25 years of experience with Accenture to the position. Most recently, he led the Data & AI business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, overseeing more than 10,000 professionals focused on helping clients transform through data, analytics and artificial intelligence. He worked with C-suite executives and boards to accelerate their data and AI reinvention strategies.
His previous roles include leading the Strategy & Consulting business and the Products client group in the UK & Ireland, as well as serving as Retail Industry Lead. Prebble is recognized as a frequent speaker on innovation, leadership, AI, technology and workplace diversity.
The appointment comes as the UK represents the third largest AI market globally and has the largest AI sector in Europe, creating significant opportunities for Accenture to help clients drive productivity and innovation.
“In an era of unprecedented disruption, the opportunity and responsibility to help our clients reinvent themselves through AI have never been more significant,” Prebble commented. “Our people, alongside our clients and ecosystem partners, are leading the charge in reshaping industries and driving new growth models.”
In her new global position, Sayed will streamline how Accenture delivers AI-enabled solutions to meet evolving client needs. She will continue to be based in the United Kingdom and will maintain engagement with the local business, academia and clients. Sayed will also continue her advisory roles supporting the UK Government on technology and innovation and recently accepted a seat on the Government’s Women’s Business Council.
