Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector have launched a Data and Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence to help federal agencies modernize citizen services.

With purpose-fit solutions for federal agencies, including Google Cloud generative AI technologies, the Data and AI Center of Excellence will work to support sensitive and classified workloads while meeting regulatory compliance needs through data management platforms and assets.

As part of the next phase of the expanded alliance between Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector, the Data and AI Center of Excellence will help deliver mission-focused expertise, specialized data and AI experts.

It is also poised to provide access to new technologies including Google’s language models, Vertex AI platform and AI-optimized infrastructure. Users will also have access to Google Cloud’s AI-powered code generation tools to streamline the software development processes.

“The ability to use optimal large language models to synthesize, analyze and contextualize data in a responsible and ethical way offers boundless opportunities for the federal government to jumpstart new capabilities and transform their operations,” said John Goodman, CEO of Accenture Federal Services.

“We look forward to helping clients rapidly prototype, build, automate and scale AI to speed content discovery and summarization, modernize interactive call center chat and ultimately deliver more intuitive and seamless end-user experiences.

In 2023, Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector announced the launch of their Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, enabled by the front-line threat intelligence of Mandiant, aimed to help US federal agencies detect and respond to increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.

Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector, said: “Since the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence’s creation, the companies have invested in skilling and solutions, they have also partnered on multiple federal cybersecurity initiatives, after their global partnership started in 2018.

“Federal agencies are rich with data, and many require cutting-edge data management capabilities to successfully deploy and unlock the tremendous potential of AI.”

Accenture Federal Services recently announced a partnership with Microsoft, launching an end-to-end Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory on Microsoft Azure Government to support federal agencies and ecosystem partners.

With the industry setting to uphold stringent security standards required in the national security space, the Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory on Azure aims to streamline the onboarding of remote federal sites to “air-gapped” Azure Government Secret and Top Secret classified clouds.
