Nextworld has announced the appointment of two new members to its executive advisory board. The appointment of Lyle Ekdahl and Greg Petraetis is said by the firm to mark a move towards an enhanced strategic direction for Nextworld and its ecosystem.

Ekdahl and Petraetis will add to the experience of the executive advisory board, with members knowledgeable in enterprise solutions, specifically creating value for product and inventory-centric companies.

Petraetis, former SVP and managing director of SAP North America’s Midmarket, joins the board having worked closely with the SAP’s supporting partner ecosystem. At SAP, Petraetis was responsible for the organization’s operations, allowing a unique insight in how best to enhance operations for other businesses. With over a decade of experience in senior technology roles, Petraetis’ past work with SAP, HelloWallet, ParAccel, Adobe Systems and BusinessObjects specifically has enhanced customer experiences through analytics and behavioral applications. He also holds multiple degrees, including a master’s in international management from Portland State University.

In a company press release, a spokesperson said: “Greg brings a wealth of experience to the Nextworld advisory board. Greg has consistently demonstrated his commitment to ensuring customers have the strategic support they need to digitally transform, innovate, and profitably grow their businesses.”

Lyle Ekdahl additionally brings over 38 years of enterprise software development experience to the board. Previously operating as the SVP of product development at Oracle, Ekdahl has also held roles in enterprise applications development, industry technology, product strategy, product management, marketing and program management at ChannelPoint, Siebel and JD Edwards.

Ekdahl, self-proclaimed ‘recovering enterprise software executive’, has a history with Nextworld, having also featured as a guest on the Nextworld webinar series, titled “Decoding Digital Transformation”.

On his new appointment, Ekdahl said: “For years, I have admired Nextworld’s founders and the cutting-edge technologies they bring to market. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved and shape the future direction of this quickly growing company.”

A company spokesperson added: “Lyle has perfected his ability to communicate the value of enterprise applications and articulate unique digital technology visions. His insights and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to Nextworld’s ongoing commitment to innovation and industry leadership.”

Addressing the new appointments, Nextworld CEO, Kylee McVaney, said: “The collective wisdom and vision of these board members is instrumental in Nextworld’s continued success. We are thrilled to welcome Lyle and Greg into the fold.”

These appointments come after Nextworld unveiled 23.2, its second product launch of the year, which looks to deliver improvements across all Nextworld business suites including finance, sales, procurement, manufacturing and inventory.
