Oracle has unveiled Oracle NetSuite for Government, a new suite of cloud solutions specifically designed for the needs of small-to-midsize state and local government agencies.

NetSuite for Government provides a single, integrated suite for streamlined accounting, grants management, payroll, planning and budgeting, human resource management and more. This allows agencies to increase and improve automation, transparency and operational efficiency while getting the data needed to make better decisions.

This new suite includes built-in-industry-specific functionality such as Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) reporting, which allows organizations to reduce manual work to refocus staff on higher value opportunities and tasks that better serve their communities. It also provides agencies the scalability and flexibility required to adapt to changing tax, statutory reporting requirements, and community needs.

NetSuite for Government runs on a modern cloud infrastructure offering robust security, consolidates and connects data on a common platform for quick analysis and easily integrates with many existing government systems. With NetSuite for Government, agencies can automate core fund accounting, requisitions and procurement, planning and budgeting, human resource management, payroll and reporting and dashboards.

In addition to this, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has recently extended its list of services approved by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (JAB), making more cloud services available to customers in the defense and intelligence community.

Steve Seoane, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Local Government, said: “No government agency is too small to benefit from the innovation, efficiency and security that modern cloud infrastructure provides.

“NetSuite for Government provides a clear pathway to modernizing local government ERP and ultimately improving constituent experiences with more efficient, effective and responsive government processes.”

Rand Waldron, vice president, Global Government Sector, Oracle, said: “Oracle is committed to delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure and business applications that are built to meet the stringent security standards necessary to protect the federal government’s most sensitive data, and helps ensure mission success.”
