Sage used Sage Future for Partners in Atlanta on November 5 to show how partners are building finance agents for Sage Intacct and where those agents are headed.

Sage says its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) gives developers a foundation for AI solutions around financial workflows. Sales tax capabilities built with Sovos launched for US customers, and Sage set out its plans for AI Workspaces, a future experience.

The Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Foundation

The base layer is Sage Developer Solutions on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, which gives Sage and outside developers a foundation for building AI solutions around financial workflows.

Sage contributes its knowledge of financial software and processes, and partners bring industry expertise. AWS Marketplace gives customers a route to discover and deploy Sage and partner solutions as they become available.

Wipfli’s Job Insights Agent, which Wipfli plans to offer through AWS Marketplace, serves construction and project-based businesses. Working through Sage Copilot, it surfaces job profitability, cost to complete, billing, and project performance from Sage Intacct data and, where available, Procore data. Wipfli reports that it can reconcile project costs and billing across the two systems even when they are not integrated.

Sovos Brings Sales Tax Compliance Into Sage Intacct

Sales Tax powered by Sovos embeds US sales tax determination into Sage Intacct workflows and streamlines exemption certificate management. Sage says it helps growing organizations automate sales tax compliance and keep pace with changing requirements across over 13,000 jurisdictions. The capability is generally available to US Sage Intacct customers.

The Sovos Nexus Agent works inside Sage Copilot, using Sage Intacct invoice data and Sovos nexus rules to show where a business has met or is approaching economic nexus thresholds in all 50 states. US customers with Sage Copilot enabled and a Sage Intacct subscription can get Sovos Nexus Agent through the Sage Agent Marketplace at no additional cost.

AI Workspaces Are Planned as One Hub for Agents

AI Workspaces are a planned Sage Intacct experience designed to give finance teams one place to work with Sage and partner agents alongside relevant financial information, tasks, and workflows. The first workspace, focused on accounts payable, is planned to enter limited rollout with selected customers in November.

The plan builds on agents Sage Intacct already offers, including Finance Intelligence Agent for natural-language questions about Sage Intacct data and Sage-built agents for accounts payable, period close, and assurance. The Sage Agent Marketplace is available now, and customers can subscribe to partner-built agents, activate them, and assign permissions through the agent management console.

Jon Fasoli, SVP of Sage Intacct, describes the control model: “Agents execute the routine work, while finance professionals review and approve work according to the custom controls their business built into the Sage AI platform.”

What This Means for ERP Insiders

Specialist depth reaches finance teams through the platform. Sage brings the financial data and process knowledge, while partners such as Wipfli and Sovos bring construction and tax expertise. Customers in specialized industries can reach niche capability inside the system their finance teams already run.

Human approval is built into how agents are presented. Sage describes agents executing routine work while finance professionals review and approve it under controls the business defines. Finance leaders accountable for oversight gain a clear line between what an agent prepares and what a person decides.

Agents reach customers through marketplaces. Sage points to its own Agent Marketplace and to AWS Marketplace as routes for discovering and deploying partner solutions. Buyers subscribe, activate, and assign permissions inside the finance system, so purchasing and access control meet in one place.
