Workday drives HR transformation for Stagecoach

Stagecoach has successfully deployed Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) with Payroll as part of a two-year digital transformation program enabled by Workday.

With HR and payroll in one cloud-based solution, Stagecoach now has a single source of real-time data for its employees, helping to increase overall employee confidence in HR data held across the organization.

Stagecoach will also be adding Workday Recruitment to its portfolio in an effort to standardize and streamline recruitment processes and onboarding across all departments, providing visibility across the entire talent acquisition process.

The new Workday system gives Stagecoach’s workforce an easy way to digitally access pay information, as well as request holiday and time off. It is also helping the company’s management team to understand more about their teams, as well as simplifying and reducing manual processes, spreadsheets and paperwork.

Michael Douroux, Workday group vice president for Northern Europe and South Africa, said: “It’s been an exciting journey over the last two years to help Stagecoach adapt to a changing and demanding market. Stagecoach can now unlock the power of data across the business to support its digital transformation efforts. By reducing paper-based processes and simplifying payroll, Stagecoach can make faster decisions based on real-time insights about its people and is better equipped to adapt to a changing world.”

Carla Stockton-Jones, UK managing director of Stagecoach, said: “We are undergoing a huge digital transformation and this is a really exciting step forward in this journey. The Workday system allows us to have one easily accessible single source of data, which is reducing the need for paper-based processes and helping to provide greater detail about our people. We’re pleased to have worked with Workday on the roll out, and we look forward to developing the system further over the coming months.”
