Acumatica Augments Manufacturing Supply Chains with New Update

Key Takeaways

Acumatica has launched an enhanced MRP application and redesigned UI to assist manufacturers in improving material planning processes.

The new MRP solution includes advanced forecasting capabilities for stock and non-stock items, allowing for better demand planning and inventory management.

The improved UI focuses on usability, customization, and personalization, ensuring that the technology is intuitive and meets the complex needs of manufacturers.

Acumatica has released an enhanced material requirement planning (MRP) application and a redesigned user interface (UI) to help manufacturers alleviate challenges in their processes.

The new solution, which will be unveiled at IMTS 2024 in Chicago, is said to help manufacturers forecast optional stock and non-stock kit components that can drive demand planning for material. Manufacturers can also include defined time-constrained data in supply and demand calculations on the improved platform.

Moreover, the new MRP and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) configuration can improve planning by including or excluding sales order types or excluding returns and other orders from the calculations for inventory planning. It also has the ability to mark warehouses as inactive in the MRP/DRP configuration. This helps manufacturers to exclude warehouses from inventory forecasting.

“Acumatica has long prioritized usability in product development,” said Debbie Baldwin, Director of Product Management and Manufacturing at Acumatica.

She added that the company remained focused on solutions that would meet manufacturers’ needs and provide technology that can keep them engaged.

The company will also demonstrate at IMTS 2024 its cloud ERP platform’s improved UI, which was unveiled at the Acumatica Summit 2024. The new UI’s features include an enhanced user interface along with improved customization and personalization tools.

Baldwin concluded, “We understand that for technology to truly be effective, it must be intuitive and user-friendly. Our focus remains on creating solutions that not only meet the complex needs of manufacturers but also provide technology they love to use.”
