SAP has revealed that Amadeus has successfully transitioned its main SAP software infrastructure to the cloud through the RISE with SAP solution.
It marks a significant milestone for the travel and tourism technology company as it looks to improve traveling experience.
Amadeus used RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, to move its internal processes to the cloud with Microsoft Azure. The move will improve operational resilience and evolve its operations to a cloud operations-based model.
Amadeus’ technology provides the travel and tourism industry with solutions and booking systems for airlines, travel agencies and other services for industry players in more than 190 countries across the globe.
RISE with SAP, which delivers one commercial offer and contract for infrastructure, managed services and license, will help safeguard Amadeus’ operational efficiency.
The solution means Amadeus can increase scalability, flexibility and efficiency as it continues to innovate in its move to a cloud-operating model. Being able to react and adjust its operational capacity as needed depending on market and demand conditions allows Amadeus to leverage growth in the travel industry.
