Capgemini has acquired HDL Design House, enabling the group to extend its global silicon engineering capabilities.
The purchase of the independent provider of silicon design and verification services in Europe will reinforce Capgemini’s silicon services as a “key enabler of the intelligent industry revolution”. With the acquisition, Capgemini will also be able to largely reinforce its semiconductor presence in Europe.
HDL Design House, founded in 2001, comprises approximately 300 engineers with experience in delivering advanced custom-chip designs for multiple industries.

According to Capgemini, HDL Design House’s clients are highly complementary to its existing list and include major players in the semiconductor industry, as well as leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Capgemini combines products, software, data and services for industry leaders. Silicon engineering services are said to be a central piece, bringing together the group’s knowledge in digital technologies and delivering business outcomes like performance, connectivity, sovereignty or sustainability.
