The 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards have shortlisted Mark Sweeny, CEO of de Novo Solutions, for his work in building the experience economy tech company.
Sweeny is one of six shortlisted for Wales in the Technology Entrepreneur of the Year category.
Headquartered in Langstone, South Wales, de Novo Solutions is a digital technology consultancy seeking to ‘re-imagine the world of work’ in the experience economy. The firm looks to integrate HR, finance and payroll systems for today’s workforce. By leveraging cloud technology from Oracle and ServiceNow, de Novo delivers data-driven, personalized experiences to improve standardized business processes.
In less than two years, Sweeny has grown de Novo Solutions into a seven-figure tech firm, with the vision of updating outdated legacy systems by implementing their own cloud-based solutions. de Novo are on track to more than double their revenue by the close of 2023.

His business success has also been previously acknowledged by the Global Business Tech Awards back in April 2023, where Mark was shortlisted for Tech Entrepreneur of the Year and de Novo Solutions was shortlisted for Best Tech Start-Up and Tech Company of the Year in the Global Business Tech Awards.
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate individuals and businesses that drive innovation, generate employment opportunities and contribute to the growth of the UK economy. This awards ceremony will take place on November 20, 2023 at London’s Grosvenor House, where industry professionals will gather to celebrate the finalists.
Most recently, de Novo have supercharged their growth with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (OFCA) workloads, having been awarded 6 more OFCA implementation projects. In response to the expansion of contracts and workloads, de Novo have hired two industry veterans: Jason Kuchera joins as chief revenue officer, bringing 18 years of creative solutions in the Oracle Ecosystem, and Samantha Whetstone joins as Director of Marketing, with nine years of experience providing marketing expertise to tech companies.
