Diageo, the maker of Guinness, Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker, has today announced a five year business transformation program in partnership with SAP and IBM.
This new initiative, which marks the company’s most significant ever investment in technology and services, will redesign and improve Diageo’s processes across the 180 countries where it operates. The company will move to S/4HANA with RISE with SAP and the support of IBM Consulting.
Fully global in nature, the program will revolutionize Diageo’s IT environment by introducing intuitive processes and technology to provide more information and enable the company to improve decision-making.
Aiming to enhance business resilience in a constantly evolving external landscape, SAP, IBM and Diageo will look to improve the company’s customer service offering and help it adapt to a fast-changing consumer base.
The five-year program will transform Diageo’s business finance operations to build advanced workflow solutions, allowing orders to be tracked in real-time and improve customer engagement.
The move to a single operating platform will also simplify its technology support model and IT landscape. Diageo’s performance reporting capabilities will be improved to offer insights into trade and growth opportunities. While, the digitization of controls and compliance will make the business more robust, resilient and adaptable to changing market conditions.
