Kraftringen, Sweden’s fifth largest energy company, has selected the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to modernize its IT infrastructure and quickly scale its capacity as needed in a competitive market.

With around 300,000 customers in Sweden, Kraftringen wanted a solution that would meet its goal of being able to create the most sustainable energy solutions. To achieve this, the company needed a modern and agile IT infrastructure.

The company is leveraging HPE GreenLake to improve utilization levels, avoid the waste of overprovisioning and minimize the resources required for power and cooling. HPE GreenLake will help Kraftringen achieve faster service deployments, reduce time to market, gain flexibility on cost due to the pay-per-use model and reduce its energy consumption.

In addition, Kraftringen will look to protect its data infrastructure from cyberattacks by utilizing HPE GreenLake’s ransomware protection, disaster recovery and data protection as a service for any application and cloud.

“We are proud to support Kraftringen in their mission of providing sustainable energy solutions for their customers,” said Linda Swärd, managing director HPE Sweden. “HPE GreenLake will provide them with a flexible and secure IT platform that can scale with their needs and help them achieve their business goals.”

“As an IT manager, I wanted a solution that would ensure the availability and security of our IT operations, as we provide critical energy services to our customers. That’s why we chose HPE GreenLake and Telia Cygate,” said Richard Mauritsson, head of IT operations and security at Kraftringen. “With HPE GreenLake, which offers a pay-as-you-use model, we can modernize our IT operations and support our business goals thanks to a better control of our costs and scalability of the platform, which enables us to adjust our capacity depending on our needs. This is crucial for our business, as we need to be agile and quick to respond to the market and deliver services to our customers at the required speed.”
