SAP.com/uk/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SAP has today announced a number of new offerings to help its customers “maximize” the benefits of cloud technology.
The 2023 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition is now available, aiming to make it easier for customers to move to the cloud by delivering enhanced functionality built on a cloud-based ERP system described as “collaborative, intelligent, networked, and sustainable”. The result sees finance, manufacturing, operations and suppliers brought into a single cloud platform.
As part of RISE with SAP, the private edition now follows a two-year release cycle with innovations delivered every six months. In addition, maintenance will increase from five to seven years.
Eric van Rossum, chief marketing and solutions officer, SAP Cloud ERP, tells ERP Today: “Within the context of RISE for S/4HANA, [this release] is really the foundation of RISE. We’re targeting this to take our install base to the cloud at the customer’s pace and really leveraging the asset they have.”
SAP also brings a new premium plus package for RISE with SAP to the market, offering more sustainability insights, generative AI for ERP with the new Joule assistant, faster decision making for CFO’s with streamlining of planning operations and allowing customers to create a networked ERP with a supplier portal.
SAP is also “doubling down” in its efforts to help its install base for the on-premise boost to cloud. As part of the series of launches, SAP has introduced a new conversion and modernization program for RISE with SAP, as featuring offerings tailored to each customer’s unique starting point.
The program includes RISE with SAP adoption framework to plan any conversions and the SAP Signavio Process Insights solution to build business cases.
Featuring in the line-up is the SAP Customer Evolution kit, a new and free service that offers 1:1 sessions with SAP experts to evaluate how the customer can best convert to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
