Open source drives Q4 success for SUSE

Melissa Di Donato / SUSE CEO

SUSE has announced financial results from the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2020, with the company’s Q4 ACV (annual contract value) bookings continuing to thrive, despite the persistent impact of COVID-19 during the quarter.

Reporting 87 percent growth in cloud ACV bookings, SUSE has now achieved 15 consecutive quarters of increase. All regions showed double-digit growth, including a 27 percent increase in the EMEA regions. In addition, SUSE also saw a 21 percent increase year on year in customer deals worth more than $1m.

Melissa Di Donato, SUSE CEO, said: “World conditions continue to challenge businesses and societies, so a clear focus on delivering essential customer value is vital. We respond with innovative technology, sound strategy and sharp execution, led by a commitment to our customers that shapes everything we do. We recognise the importance of providing open source solutions that are used to list businesses across the globe. It was the diver for our success in Q4, and it will drive us in the future.”

SUSE continues to focus on growth and expansion, with the company recently announcing the close of its acquisition of Rancher Labs, the market leader in Kubernetes management. Together, SUSE and Rancher aim to empower customers to innovate with speed and agility.
