Salesforce has announced that its Trade Promotion Optimization for Consumer Goods Cloud is now generally available.
This new feature uses predictive AI and intelligent analytics to help customers analyze and enhance their trade promotion planning for profitable growth.
Trade Promotion Optimization for Consumer Goods Cloud aims to provide organizations with streamlined promotion planning and allows users to manage funds and budgets, simplify claims management and report in real-time.
Research suggests that 80 percent of consumer goods executives are not satisfied with their current promotion and revenue growth management strategies. One reason for this is that 60 percent of trade promotions go unanalyzed.
Trade Promotion Optimization helps consumer goods organizations maximize the value of every dollar they invest in trade promotions by leveraging Einstein Discover to help account managers predict baselines and expected uplifts after a promotion.
This allows companies to build more effective future trade plans. Organizations can also benefit from intelligent analytics to evaluate historic promotion performance, which better informs current demand plans and reduces future out-of-stock products. Additionally, the solution provides one seamless, intuitive user interface for consumer goods brands to easily review and adjust forecasts.
Kishan Chetan, SVP and GM consumer goods, Salesforce, said: “For consumer goods companies that are increasingly focused on driving profitable growth and optimizing trade spend for ROI, a powerful trade promotion management solution is imperative.
“Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud brings the power of AI, data and CRM together to create an intelligent and more efficient trade promotion optimization solution that empowers companies to accurately forecast and build highly effective plans for their business goals.”
This news follows previous announcements where the company unveiled its newest platform, Life Sciences Cloud. Life Sciences Cloud is designed for pharmaceutical and medical technology organizations to help them speed up drug and device development, enlist and retain patients across the clinical trial journey and leverage AI to deliver tailored experiences.
