Pets vs. cattle is an analogy with modest beginnings that has grown into an industry staple. A simple Google search will spawn more than four million results and a myriad of developer memes. Although origin stories are a little hazy, the actual, original quote was ‘cattle, not pets.’

Copado, a DevOps platform for Salesforce and other clouds, has secured $140 million in Series C funding led by Insight Partners, bringing its total investment to $257 million and valuing the company at approximately $1.2 billion, which will be used to enhance its DevOps and AI-enabled testing solutions and expand into the Asia-Pacific market.
