In today’s world, no day’s the same. Innovation moves forward, releasing more and more groundbreaking technology that challenges the status quo – all in the hopes of increasing efficiency and productivity for businesses.
Bringing representatives together to share this practice and knowledge, Data Migration International (DMI) has recently hosted its 3rd Annual Digital Lounge at Lakeside event, with over 300 participants in attendance from various European countries, as well as the USA and Mexico, across two days. The third event of its kind, it invited “leading brands to share experiences and learn from each other about how to innovate and transform their businesses” by discussing such topics as Digital and Intelligent Enterprise, Sustainability, AI, Metaverse, SAP S/4 and more.
Alongside customer and partners’ presentations, the vendor organized its second annual Hackathon, offering SAP partners, customers, and young professionals an opportunity to develop solutions with Low Code/No Code tools to “drive efficiency and innovation” and receive feedback from experts.
At a Customer and Digital Thought-leaders Forum, attendees heard from both DMI and SAP representatives who discussed how offerings from third-party providers and partners can help customers in their SAP S/4HANA data migration journey, including through the incorporation of features such as AI, automation and high-speed analysis and transformation. For instance, as a long-standing silver partner of SAP, DMI caters to SAP users with its JiVS Information Management Platform (IMP) for data migration and application retirement.
An end-to-end platform, JiVS IMP looks to streamline data migration, application retirement, M&As and data quality improvement. According to DMI experts, the platform helps SAP users to “divide and conquer” by separating operational and historical data to reduce the burden on their live systems. To maintain its quality, JiVS IMP also cleans, sorts, and refines the data.
Alexander Finger, CTO of SAP, also attended the event and shared that one of the key takeaways was how customers can practice resilience when it comes to introducing and migrating to S/4.
“It’s crucial to not only hear but listen to what our customers are ready to share and do, looking at the evolution of not only the products but, as well, the way we operate together,” Finger explained.
He added: “What I really liked about the Digital Lounge event of Data Migration International in the Seeburg was that there was time to discuss, share ideas and get to know each other. I can’t think of a much better way to combine content and networking.”
The message is clear: innovation is truly achievable with the help of collaboration and networking. Allowing customers and vendors to exchange ideas and experiences is key in ensuring the continuous progress and improvement of ERP solutions, offered by companies like SAP and partners like DMI.
