Wihuri switches to HPE GreenLake to upgrade business operations

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced that Wihuri Group has selected the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to create a scalable, sustainable technology environment for its businesses.

The new architecture promises to deliver improved transparency of costs and expenditures by business area, ensuring data sovereignty and increasing automation, performance and efficiency. The Finnish conglomerate Wihuri is making strides towards its sustainability goals through the use of HPE Asset Upcycling services to return old equipment to the HPE Technology Renewal Center and is reducing energy consumption via HPE GreenLake by minimizing overprovisioning.

All data will be retained on in Wihuri’s own data centers and can be scaled, enhanced and refurbished through the HPE Asset Upcycling scheme. The old IT infrastructure will be decommissioned and sent to HPE’s Technology Renewal center, where it will be safely and sustainably recycled. Wuhuri can also benefit from lower power consumption and improved utilization which will reduce the company’s carbon footprint and aligns with Wipak’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2025.

In addition, Atea Finland, a long-time partner of HPE has applied its expertise and experience to help develop a seamless infrastructure deployment. Atea Finland has played an integral role throughout the sale and facilitated the deployment phase of the HPE GreenLake solution.
