Ecobat rises with SAP S/4HANA and YASH Technologies

Ecobat is the world’s largest recycler of batteries, and is on a mission to develop innovative products to meet the growing demand for efficient and reliable energy storage solutions.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with operating facilities across Europe, the United States, and Africa, Ecobat set out to optimize its operations via a single and scalable global business platform that would allow for an integrated view of its supply chain, enhanced customer experiences, and sustainable processes.

Enter YASH Technologies, a leading global technology integrator and outsourcing specialist, which helped Ecobat implement Project Essential, a move from SAP ECC and 25 legacy systems onto SAP S/4HANA.

Assembling a large team of SAP vertical, functional, technical specialists, and advisory consultants, YASH helped to standardize and harmonize global processes and data while driving significant cost advantages and enabling better decision-making.

The project required large-scale data migration, system design, and re-engineering of critical business processes while developing a future-ready framework that simultaneously leveraged current best business practices.

Rising with SAP

As Ecobat’s transformation partner, YASH Technologies developed and designed a scalable and centralized SAP cloud solution with a calibrated multi-year rollout, enabling process simplification, performance maximization, and seamless global adoption.

Having to navigate a set of challenges on the project, including COVID-19, the team dug in together and came up with innovative ways to keep up with the deliverables and the schedule.

Earlier this year, Ecobat’s Project Essential celebrated achieving SAP S/4HANA go live across all business units and global locations.

“This platform has positioned Ecobat for growth by optimizing business processes, eliminating manual processing, improving collaboration, and presenting a unified face to our end customers. In addition, the strategic guidance, creativity, and SAP expertise of the YASH business consulting and SAP implementation teams were vital in helping us meet the program objectives,” said Jamie Lee, Ecobat CIO.

Erin Myers, senior account manager at SAP South Region said they were “extremely proud of the work Jamie Lee, Ecobat, YASH Technologies -System Integrator and SAP put into for the RISE S/4 Project Essential.

“As one of the first large enterprise customers in North America to select RISE, Jamie Lee has established himself as a thought leader from the start to the end. Job well done. Congratulations to all!”

Commenting on the successful implementation, Manoj Baheti, CEO of YASH Technologies, said: “As Ecobat’s transformation partner of choice, we are privileged to enable their future-readiness roadmap, harnessing SAP’s proven cloud solutions and YASH’s SAP consulting expertise. We are confident that this initiative will help Ecobat drive business agility, predictability, and efficiencies across sales, supply chain, and finance.”

“The successful go-live is a reiteration of YASH’s leadership in delivering global innovative technology-led business transformation programs,” he added.
