Shaheen Sayed Accenture UKI lead

Accenture has announced the appointment of a new UKI lead, Shaheen Sayed, effective September 1 this year.

Sayed will succeed Simon Eaves, who is relocating to the US as Accenture’s North America strategy and consulting lead following three years in the UKI lead role.

An Accenture veteran of more than 20 years and currently its UKI technology head, Sayed has specialized in leading technology and business transformations and pioneering new market technologies across a diverse range of industries, including banking, capital markets, telecommunications and healthcare.

She also previously led Accenture’s health and public service business in the region, delivering solutions across health, tax, welfare, justice, defense and policing.

In her new role, Sayed will become a member of the Global Management Committee and have overall responsibility for the entirety of Accenture’s industries and services across the UK and Ireland.

Elsewhere, Sayed is an industry thought leader on inclusive business cultures and talent and is a guest lecturer for the London School of Economics global masters program. She has been recognized in the Financial Times as one of the top ten global ethnic minority leaders and in 2020 was voted ‘Woman of the Year’ at the Women in IT Awards.

Sayed, regarding her appointment, said: “I am honored to be appointed as the lead for Accenture in the UK and Ireland and look forward to working with all our inspiring people, clients and ecosystem partners. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience working closely with Simon over the past few years and I am excited to now lead and continue to drive growth for our business. Our clients are facing more change than ever and the need to apply innovative technologies that can transform their businesses has never been greater.”
