To address the increasing demand for AI transformation, Accenture and Avanade, in their joint venture with Microsoft, announced they are launching a Copilot business transformation practice to help organizations reinvent their business operations and integrate generative AI, agentic AI and Copilot technologies.

The Copilot business transformation practice can provide clients with the technology and industry experience to accelerate and expand their use of Copilot and agents across the business to enhance efficiency, redefine processes and drive growth across industries.

Made up of 5,000 professionals from Accenture and Avanade, and supported by Microsoft product specialists, the practice will work closely with the Accenture Center for Advanced AI. Leveraging tools such as Accenture’s AI Refinery, this partnership aims to create custom AI models and solutions.

Julie Sweet, chair and CEO, Accenture, said: “The investment we are making with Microsoft takes our long-standing partnership to the next level, helping our clients accelerate and integrate AI at scale as a catalyst for reinvention.

“The powerful combination of Microsoft Copilot agentic and GenAI technologies, and Avanade’s and Accenture’s deep industry and functional expertise will help enable enterprises to reimagine their processes and operations, discover innovative ways of working, strengthen their security and open up new pathways to value.”

This partnership also extends to education through programs such as the Azure Generative AI Engineer Nanodegree, co-developed with Udacity, part of Accenture LearnVantage. This online program allows users to take advantage of AI models to solve real-world problems through automation, data insights and GenAI solutions.

Judson Althoff, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Microsoft, said: “We are pleased to deepen our collaboration with Accenture to help our mutual customers develop AI-first business processes responsibly and securely while helping them drive market differentiation.

“By bringing together Copilots and human ambition, paired with the autonomous capabilities of an agent, we can accelerate AI transformation for organizations across industries and help them realize successful business outcomes through pragmatic innovation.”

Additionally, Accenture is also supporting Microsoft in transforming its internal functions such as finance, sales, marketing and HR, with Copilot, and has been selected to establish four Microsoft Co-Innovation Labs.
