ERP Today announce fundraiser and awards event in aid of NHS Charities Together

Key Takeaways

The ERP community has experienced significant growth and record revenues during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing an opportunity to support those who have suffered due to the crisis.

ERP Today is reviving its awards event, originally planned for March 2020, to be held on September 23rd at Ascot Racecourse, featuring unique entertainment and activities while raising funds for NHS Charities Together.

The event will prioritize safety with outdoor activities and precautions in place, while also offering a limited number of tickets to ensure exclusivity, emphasizing a fun and purposeful gathering for the enterprise tech community.

Over the last year we’ve seen our economy battered by the onslaught of COVID-19. Industries across the board have fallen victim to relentless lockdowns, people the world over have lost civil liberties and our NHS has been overwhelmed to near breaking point. But while we hear the despondent stories over and over, there is hope and a much-needed light at the end of the tunnel.

Amidst the chaos, however, the ERP community has shown enormous growth, seen record revenues and has gone from strength to strength. While thousands of small businesses have gone to the wall and the majority of sectors have suffered unimaginable losses, the ERP and enterprise tech community has thrived. This is nothing to be embarrassed about, but it puts many of us in a position to be able to pay it forward, give back and show our support for those who have suffered far worse fates.

At ERP Today we like to do things differently and if, like us, you are tired of the relentless Zoom and Teams interactions then you’re probably ready to dip your toes into the water of the social pool once more. And we have the perfect social gathering for you.

We had planned the ERP Today Awards event to take place in March last year but had to postpone the event indefinitely due to COVID-19 and now we believe it is the perfect time to resurrect it. The summer sun is upon us and with social distancing restrictions lifting at the end of June, we have decided to go ahead with the awards event this summer! Instead of a traditional black-tie event where we’re all sat around a stuffy ballroom cheering award winners that we don’t know, we have decided to kick it up notch and put on an event that has never been done before.

ERP Today is taking over the magnificent Ascot Racecourse on the 23rd of September where we will be hosting this truly one of a kind event – and every single penny raised will be given to the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal fund. This is an incredible opportunity for our community to get together for a day packed with fun and entertainment while giving back to those frontline workers who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe.

In the spirit of doing things differently, this awards event promises to be like no other. The awards will be announced throughout the day, in amongst the fun activities we’ve planned, in true winner’s circle style. Upon arrival at Ascot Racecourse, you’ll be given a racecard showcasing the day’s ‘runner and riders’ so that you’re able to plan your activities around the awards you’d like to follow.

To keep you entertained, you can choose from an array of incredible events to take part in including driving in a genuine F1 simulator, a golf long drive competition, laser clay pigeon shooting, a penalty shoot out competition and a host of garden party games. The centre piece of the day’s activities will be the Tug of War where teams from the enterprise tech community will be on opposing sides once more as they battle it out for the bragging rights.

There will be a VIP lounge, communal seating areas, exclusive hospitality zones along with a variety of food stalls, prosecco stands, and a Guinness tent. Kisstory FM will provide the soundtrack to the day along with further entertainment planned for the evening.

Some tickets are still available for general sale, but we must stress that this event is in place of the postponed event from last year which was a complete sell out. This means that the vast majority of tickets have already been allocated to sponsors, partners and those who had booked tables at the original event. We therefore have fewer than 200 tickets for sale and we won’t be adding more, in keeping with the exclusivity of this event.

We are mindful that we aren’t out of the woods yet as far as COVID-19 is concerned and every precaution will be taken on the day to ensure a safe and secure environment. The event will largely be outdoors which makes a big difference to its safety and we are confident that by the end of September we will be able to look forward to a safe, fun and purposeful event.

However, in the unlikely event that we have to cancel for any reason all tickets will be refunded in full.
