HPE has announced a shake-up to its organizational structure and executive leadership, which takes effect at the start of the company’s 2024 fiscal year on November 1, 2023.

With GreenLake taking off, the company is introducing a new Hybrid Cloud business unit, to be led by HPE chief technology officer, Fidelma Russo. This business unit will combine the GreenLake platform with the technologies and services of HPE Storage, GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions and the current office of the CTO organization.

Russo has led the team that has created the HPE GreenLake platform for two years, which is now the company’s central offering for its Hybrid Cloud solutions. Russo and her team also led the onboarding of OpsRamp onto the platform and created an innovation pipeline that has delivered high-demand services like the Sustainability Dashboard.

Vishal Lall will be departing the company at the end of the calendar year after holding numerous leadership positions during his decade-long tenure. His work spanning GreenLake, Aruba, Ezemeral and Hewlett Packard Pathfinder has been said, by HPE CEO Antonio Neri, to have made “a significant impact in driving the momentum and market opportunity HPE is now seeing”.

Pradeep Kumar, head of HPE Services is also to retire from his role at HPE following 27 years with the firm. Following his retirement, HPE Services, Supply Chain and Quote-to-Cash will now comprise our Global Operations organization to be led by one leader, Mark Bakker.

This news follows from previous shake-ups for the firm with Simon Ewington being appointed as vice president, worldwide channel and partner ecosystem and its former CFO, Tarek Robbiati, leaving the company for a CEO role.

In a recent blog, Antonia Neri, CEO said: “As I’ve said many times, I’m confident that we can accomplish anything with the right team guided by the right leaders. I believe we have both. I am proud of the progress we have made in our transformation to be the edge-to-cloud company.

“These new strategic alignments will enhance the integrated customer and partner experience, strengthen our market position and accelerate our execution. I look forward to continuing to deliver in ways that only HPE can.”
