Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has made some additions to its workforce, including Bethany Mayer and Rom Kosla.

Bethany Mayer, former president and CEO of Ixia, has been appointed to HPE’s board of directors. She has experience with being a technology leader in networking and cybersecurity and, prior to this appointment, has served as an executive advisor to Siris Capital since 2018.

With experience on both public and private company boards, Mayer has also led Ixia, a leading network testing and security solutions provider, through a transformative period culminating in its sale in 2017 to Keysight Technologies Inc.

Moreover, before Hewlett-Packard Company’s 2015 separation into HPE and HP Inc. and prior to joining Ixia in 2014, Mayer led the expansion of Hewlett-Packard Company’s networking business as senior vice president and general manager. Her efforts were key in strengthening the company’s position in the networking market.

“Bethany has demonstrated a remarkable ability to navigate the dynamic and complex technology landscape while driving business growth,” said Patricia Russo, chair of the board of directors at HPE.

“With a diverse background spanning senior leadership roles in both global corporations and technology startups, Bethany has demonstrated a remarkable ability to navigate the dynamic and complex technology landscape while driving business growth.”

Additionally, Rom Kosla has been appointed chief information officer (CIO) at HPE. Kosla has previously worked for Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA, where he served as the grocery retailer’s executive vice president, IT and CIO.

Kosla has also been the senior vice president and CIO of corporate and enterprise solutions at PepsiCo and has served in a number of roles at Deloitte and Nestle.

“I’m excited to join HPE at this pivotal moment for its business,” said Kosla. “Continuous innovation in the IT estate is critical to the engagement of an organization’s stakeholders. HPE is committed to elevating the experience customers, partners and team members have working and doing business with the company and I’m looking forward to working with a superb team of professionals to do just that.”
