Unit4 has announced that St. Helens Borough Council has selected Unit4 ERP and financial planning and analysis software (FP&A), together with Proactis Invoice Capture, to replace in-house legacy solutions.
Delivering a SaaS ERP solution, Unit4 and Proactis will allow the council to replace legacy systems that are no longer fit for purpose and move its finance solution to the cloud.
The move is set to reduce the council’s reliance on in-house IT teams for support and lower the need for manual intervention in business processes. Plus, with seamless integrations, data accuracy and better visibility across all teams and systems, the council will be able to improve approvals of supplier invoices and create more predictability around financial performance.
Unit4 and Proactis software will also enable St. Helens Council to take advantage of: automation to reduce the time spent on administrative tasks, integrated asset tracking with accounting, procurement and other financial functions, increased speed and accuracy in planning, and a deeper insight into operational and financial information for informed decision making.
The ERP deployment is also set to realize a boost in productivity, a reduction in costs, and more effective planning processes for the council, which, in turn, will result in improvements for the people it serves.
“Unit4’s credibility in the public sector, coupled with a really positive engagement experience has cemented the ‘trusted partner’ approach we are taking. We have collaborated closely to determine the resources and skills required to implement a successful project and, as we do so, we are very excited about our future and delivering even more efficient services for our residents,” said Asad Mushtaq, director of finance at St. Helens Council.
Chris Richards, regional president UKI at Unit4 said, “We are delighted to welcome St. Helens Borough Council as a new customer, and partner with them as they transform their back-office finance and business applications. Public Sector is about reputation – a safe pair of hands – and, as Unit4 continues its growth in this sector, we have already demonstrated that we deliver a great customer experience in the local authority space.”
