Fortinet has once again sponsored three young professional golfers to compete in the annual 2023 Fortinet Cup, building to the PGA TOUR Fortinet Championship this September in Napa, California.
Chris Crisologo, Joey Savoie and Devon Bling will serve as global ambassadors aimed at building on Fortinet’s commitment to support the advancement of early talent in STEM industries, with the specific goal of closing the cybersecurity skills gap that currently plagues the SAP and ERP world.
Fortinet’s ambassadors will compete in the season-long PGA TOUR Canada Fortinet Cup, a points-based competition culminating at the Fortinet Cup Championship in Calgary after nine events across Canada. Top performers will earn Korn Ferry TOUR Status the following year as they progress and the Fortinet Cup Champion will earn an exemption in the PGA TOUR’s Fortinet Championship played in Napa, California from September 11-17.
After a successful 2022 cup season, Fortinet’s first year as the tournament sponsor, this continued partnership with PGA TOUR Canada will continue to benefit the communities and local non-profit organizations in the ten host cities of the competition. The proceeds from the Fortinet Cup will be donated to non-profit organizations in the areas of STEM, inclusion and diversity and veterans reskilling programs.
Marc Asturias, VP of marketing, Fortinet Canada, said: “Fortinet, as a part of its continued commitment to Canada, again welcomes our customers and partners to the season-long Fortinet Cup in Canada. Last year we brought together more than 600 technology leaders to share insights and a first-class golf experience. As a company with a long track record of investments in Canada and its top cybersecurity platform vendor, we have established a strong presence and reputation as a trusted advisor.”
“Our sponsorship of the Fortinet Cup in Canada in partnership with PGA TOUR Canada is aimed at showcasing the talents of early career professional golfers, positively impacting communities and local non-profits across the tour, as well as bringing value to Fortinet’s business customers and partners. It’s key to maintain a focus on cybersecurity in today’s interconnected, technology-driven world.”
In addition to the kick-off of the Fortinet Cup Season, Fortinet announced that it will host its third annual Security Summit and Tech Expo, at the Fortinet Championship in Napa. This summit will bring together Fortinet’s community of elite customers, partners, executives and global industry experts for two days of keynotes, panels and roundtable discussions.
