UiPath has appointed Robert Enslin as co-chief executive officer, effective May 16, 2022.

Bringing more than 30 years of enterprise software experience, Enslin will work alongside UiPath’s founder and current chief executive officer Daniel Dines as part of what Dines has hailed as “a new chapter in the UiPath journey.”

Enslin joins UiPath from Google Cloud, where he served as president of cloud sales and led global field operations, tripling the size of the sales organization and driving Google Cloud’s growth at scale.

He also spent 27 years at SAP in various leadership roles across sales and operations. In his final role with SAP, Enslin served as president of its cloud business group and executive board member, where he led the development and delivery of SAP’s entire portfolio of cloud applications and services, including SAP Concur, SAP Ariba, SAP Customer Experience, SAPSuccessFactors, and the Qualtrics business.

With UiPath expected to surpass $1bn in revenue and ARR in fiscal year 2023 in a total addressable automation market of $60bn, the partnership of Dines and Enslin positions UiPath to extend its market leadership to meet the growing demand for automation.

In a note to team members announcing Enslin to the company, Dines stated: “My priority is making sure that we have the right leadership in place to capture the massive market opportunity in front of us. Looking ahead, the co-CEO structure is the right one for our business as we grow a global, publicly traded company at scale. As my co-CEO, Rob will focus on scaling our business. This will allow me to concentrate on our company culture, vision, and product innovation. These are the areas I’ve been the most passionate about since we founded UiPath, and where I can ensure that we build a company where you want to come to work every day and that delivers the greatest value to our customers.”

Enslin said: “Partnering with Daniel to lead the company he co-founded more than 15 years ago is an enormous privilege. I have long been a fan of UiPath and the meaningful value the company creates for its customers and partners through its end-to-end automation platform. I firmly believe that there’s a huge opportunity to reinvent how business is done and that digital technology should be at the center of the new way of working. I’m committed to helping UiPath build on its momentum as we look ahead to the company’s next phase of growth.”
