Enterprise solutions provider QAD has released new scheduling and AI enhancements to its Adaptive ERP application to help manufacturing and supply chain businesses boost productivity.

These solutions are part of a more comprehensive suite of products launched by QAD in its 2024 Fall Product Launch. They include enhancements for QAD Digital Supply Chain Planning (DSCP), QAD EQMS (Enterprise Quality Management System), QAD SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and QAD Process Intelligence.

Carter Lloyds, chief product and marketing officer at QAD, noted in an October 1 statement that the company’s “2024 Fall Product Launch delivers features and enhancements intended to help manufacturers and supply chains navigate the complexities of modern business.”

The enhancements include the introduction of an advanced scheduling solution called QAD Advanced Scheduling. This solution helps manufacturers optimize production decisions by determining the best sequence for manufacturing a product on each line. It aligns with an organization’s cost and servicing goals and minimizes changeovers while optimizing inventory management.

QAD has also launched a generative AI assistant for product classification within its Global Trade and Transportation Execution (GTTE) solution. Called Champion, this solution uses models to answer business needs and give tangible results. It also assists organizations in ensuring accurate product classifications for the import and export market while determining tariffs, qualifying for trade agreements, or adhering to government regulations.

Champion is also integrated into QAD’s process intelligence solution and assists customers to identify and interpret process anomalies for more data-driven results.
