SNP Group, the software provider for digital transformation, data migration and data management in SAP environments, has announced the expansion of its operations in the Middle East, with the opening of a new office in Dubai’s Internet City neighborhood. It adds to SNP Group’s more than 1,500 employees worldwide, in over 35 locations across 15 countries.

The move looks to strengthen SNP’s reach in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region following successful transformations for several clients over the past two years, including Tamimi Markets, Gulf Marketing Group, and Qatar Chemicals (QCHEM).

The wins don’t come as a surprise: with the Middle East being one of the fastest-growing markets globally, SNP’s Dubai move follows hot on the heels of SAP gains, with the cloud software provider having established a presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt markets. Moreover, SAP has pushed to localize its cloud-based solutions for industries including oil, gas, retail and banking – all important sectors in the MENA region.

SNP’s new Internet City office is well-placed, nestled alongside the big names of Microsoft, Oracle, and SAP. The BLUEFIELD transformation provider says the spot will enable it to better serve the strategically important Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

Ravi Mahalingam, managing director Middle East at SNP Group, will head the office, with over 20 years of experience in the region. As the firm now looks to hire local talent to build its core Middle East team, it claims it will be investing in the region to support ambitious growth plans moving forward. Housing a team focused on customer relations and partner network expansion, the office will stand SNP in good stead to make further MENA region wins.

“The Middle East is a crucial market for us, where we have been active and are continuously developing,” said Jens Amail, CEO of SNP. “We are pleased to now have an office and a competent team familiar with the region’s specific challenges, and we are already seeing initial successes.”

Pete Sharpe, president of Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa (NEMEA) at SNP, stated: “SNP already has a strong footprint with renowned customers and a close partner network in the region. It is crucial to now be on the ground with our own office.
“We look forward to supporting many more companies in the Middle East with their SAP S/4HANA migrations, carve-outs, and business transformations, considering their specific local needs. The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing markets globally, with clients focusing on digital transformation to drive growth. SNP is well-positioned to support clients in their SAP transformation journey.”
