Key Takeaways

FlashAI simplifies SQL query creation by translating natural language into SQL commands, making it accessible for non-technical users and improving efficiency for seasoned SQL developers.

Git Integration allows for seamless collaboration among SQL Connect users by embedding version control in the interface, enabling code management, edit tracking, and team alignment.

The ongoing enhancements to SQL Connect demonstrate a commitment to integrating AI and improving team-based development capabilities, making data querying faster, easier, and more user-friendly.

SQL Connect, a self-service SQL query tool developed by SplashBI, has introduced two new features – FlashAI and Git Integration in its solution. These enhancements are designed to refine how SQL professionals handle data queries, collaborate across departments and streamline workflows.

FlashAI is a natural language processor designed to simplify the creation of SQL queries by translating everyday language into SQL commands. The natural language processor is crafted for seasoned SQL developers and business users without a technical background. This feature allows users to save time, reduce errors and enables non-technical users to work with data more effectively.

Kiran Pasham, co-founder, president and chief architect at SplashBI, said: “FlashAI allows users to create SQL queries using natural language, remembers context, and offers insights on joins, creating a smoother experience for users.”

Git Integration, enables SQL Connect users to manage their code within the same interface, embedding Git version control directly into the SQL Connect environment. Developers can edit code, commit changes, merge and track edits seamlessly, allowing teams to stay aligned on their workflows.

Naveen Miglani, co-founder and CEO of SplashBI, said: “With Git Integration, we’ve addressed a key challenge for data teams – collaboration.”

The release of these features are part of the platform’s ongoing commitment to integrating AI and smarter team-based development capabilities.

Benefits for users

SQL users can reap the benefits of these features which are designed to simplify and enhance the SQL querying process.

Git integration: enables users to collaborate seamlessly with SQL Connect’s built-in Git integration.

AI assistant – FlashAI: convert natural language into SQL queries effortlessly with FlashAI. FlashAI learns from previous queries, offers real-time suggestions and auto-corrects SQL errors, making SQL querying faster, easier and more accessible.

Real-time rapid access: users can unlock access to their data with SQL Connect’s real-time rapid access feature. Additionally, users can connect seamlessly to Oracle ERP/SCM/HCM Pods for quick SQL query execution, data extraction to CSV or Excel and cloud database browsing.

Export to CSV/Excel: easily export data directly to CSV or Excel with SQL Connect’s Export feature.

Single Sign-on: this feature allows for one-time login to all Oracle ERP/SCM/HCM Pods. Single Sign-On simplifies access and bolsters security by reducing multiple login requirements.

Advanced table level security: users can enhance data governance with SQL Connect’s advanced table level security which provides control over who can access data.

Intellisense: boost query efficiency with SQL Connect’s Intellisense, offering real-time SQL command suggestions and auto-completion. This feature works to minimize errors and streamline complex query crafting.

In addition to these features, users can benefit from Multiple Connections, DataBase Browser, Minimap, Background Execution, Refined Syntax Handling and Advanced Data Grid.
