The acquisition marks the sixth to date for Thirdera, the leading global pure-play provider of workflow-enabled ServiceNow services and solutions. It provides an opportunity for the firm to expand its services across Europe to meet a high demand driven by more European firms turning to the cloud.
Acquiring SilverStorm Solutions will see Thirdera’s employees grow by over 160 members, reaching toward the 1000 mark. The company’s near-4000 ServiceNow and industry certifications and accreditations would also grow by over 400, in addition to adding SilverStorm’s wide portfolio of international clients including United Nations, Banco Santander, Repsol and Generali.
The announcement comes after Thirdera was named the 2022 ServiceNow global emerging industry solutions partner of the year, reflecting a period of high ambitions and matching growth for the firm.
Like the others, this acquisition wasn’t simply a case of purchasing a company that was looking to sell; instead, it was a merging of skill and purpose within the ServiceNow ecosystem to enable further expansion.
Speaking to ERP Today about the acquisition process, Jason Wojahn, Thirdera CEO, said: “These are companies we have spoken to about what we were trying to achieve ambitiously in the ServiceNow ecosystem and where we found that there were common goals, cultures, and common ambition, that is where we continued to have conversations.
“SilverStorm brings with them a tremendous amount of intellectual property. They’ve been in the ServiceNow ecosystem since 2007, and they’ve invested considerably in advisory capabilities. Their intellectual property and real property fit together nicely, and we’ll be bringing them together in our harmonization process.”
As SilverStorm is one of the longest-tenured ServiceNow partners in the world, its consulting team brings in-depth experience of the platform and is also a leading provider of tailored solutions for ServiceNow implementations, integrations, managed support, and application development. SilverStorm’s founder and CEO, Rian Butcher will also become the Senior Managing Director for EMEA, reporting to the CEO Jason Wojahn.

Facing the headwinds
Over the past few years, more European companies have shifted their businesses online and the demand for cloud-based solutions that enable remote work has significantly increased. ServiceNow solutions for Customer Service Management and Order Management have become especially popular. For Wojahn, the opportunity will also provide solutions that can cut across economic uncertainty and drive scale and relevance in workflows for added value across cloud platforms for ServiceNow clients.
