UiPath Clipboard AI has been selected as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023.
Named in the Productivity Category, Clipboard AI removes the need for anyone to manually copy-paste. A user highlights the desired information, points Clipboard AI toward the destination – another form, another app or another table – and the AI figures out where the data should go and pastes it. Clipboard AI can take information visible in images like screenshots, scans or screens and make it actionable by copying it to other forms.
The annual list is compiled by editors, correspondents and other TIME staff and is decided based on how much the innovation changes the way we live, work and play. Each contender is evaluated on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition and impact. UiPath finds itself on the TIME’s list thanks to revolutionizing a simple process that’s regularly used by most office workers.
UiPath Clipboard AI has been leveraged by Wesco International to take several, different document types and convert them to digital formats. The B2B distribution, logistics and supply chain solutions provider is also using the AI to automate tasks that include document-heavy operations.
Daniel Dines, UiPath co-CEO and co-founder, said: “As soon as it’s installed, Clipboard AI provides instant value and enables anyone to take advantage of the time-saving power of automation and superior intelligence of AI. AI has always been at the core of the UiPath Business Automation Platform, and this achievement from TIME is a testament to our ongoing effort to bring innovations to market that not only make businesses more productive, but greatly improve how AI can enable humans.”
It follows as UiPath also announced a secondary AI tool, UiPath Autopilot, which acts as an integration of generative AI, specialized AI and automation, at Forward VI, UiPath’s global user conference.
